Erebor ( Sindarin Mont solitaire ) est le plus puissant royaume Nain qui se situe au nord de la Forêt Noire, dominant une vaste étendue plane, d’où son autre nom de Montagne Solitaire. Le Celduin y prend sa source.
Dans Bilbo le Hobbit, on apprend que beaucoup de corbeaux vivent sur l’Erebor. La porte principale menant à l’intérieur du Mont Solitaire est située au-dessus de la ville qui est à la fois au pied de la montagne et au bord du Celduin. Smaug gardant cette porte, la compagnie de Thorin II décida de pénétrer dans l’Erebor par la porte secrète sur le flanc de la montagne avec la clef que Thrain remit avec la carte à Gandalf.

Erebor (Sindarin Mont Solitaire) is the most powerful Dwarf kingdom which is located in the north of the Black Forest, dominating a vast flat area, hence its other name of Solitary Mountain. Celduin has its source there.
In Bilbo the Hobbit, we learn that many crows live on the Erebor. The main door leading to the interior of Mont Solitaire is located above the town which is both at the foot of the mountain and on the edge of the Celduin. Smaug guarding this door, the company of Thorin II decided to enter Erebor by the secret door on the side of the mountain with the key which Thrain gave with the card to Gandalf.
