Hel est la d\u00e9esse des morts dans la mythologie nordique. Elle est la fille de Loki et de la g\u00e9ante Angrboda, et la s\u0153ur de Fenrir et de J\u00f6rmungand. Dans les croyances nordiques ancestrales pr\u00e9chr\u00e9tiennes, Hel est l’une des hypostases de Freyja la Grande D\u00e9esse M\u00e8re, le nom hel (helja) signifie : accueillir, cacher, car Freyja est aussi la d\u00e9esse de la mort qui accueille la moiti\u00e9 des guerriers destin\u00e9s au Valhalla. Elle est \u00e9galement une d\u00e9esse guerri\u00e8re. Dans les textes anciens et selon la tradition odiniste et de l\u2019Asatru, d\u00e9tenteurs de la Propri\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00d3\u00f0al, ant\u00e9rieurs aux sagas (chr\u00e9tiennes pour la grande majorit\u00e9), Hel est la douce d\u00e9esse de la mort. Elle a la moiti\u00e9 du visage plong\u00e9 dans les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres de la mort et l\u2019autre dans la lumi\u00e8re de la vie. Hel is the goddess of the dead in Norse mythology. She is the daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, and the sister of Fenrir and J\u00f6rmungand. In ancestral pre-Christian Nordic beliefs, Hel is one of the hypostases of Freyja the Great Mother Goddess, the name hel (helja) means: to welcome, to hide, because Freyja is also the goddess of death who welcomes half of the warriors destined for Valhalla.
