Ces passerelles nous transportent vers des havres supr\u00eames, des finalit\u00e9s plus hautes, des buts ultimes. Ils touchent l’Histoire, la Spiritualit\u00e9, le Fantastique. Empruntons ces passages et nous entrons dans des contr\u00e9es intimes et fantaisistes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aurore<\/b>\u00a0ou\u00a0\u00c9os<\/b>,\u00a0divinit\u00e9 grecque\u00a0charg\u00e9e d’ouvrir au char du\u00a0Soleil les portes du ciel, elle \u00e9tait la personnification mythologique de l’aurore, lumi\u00e8re du matin amenant le jour et par extension du jour lui-m\u00eame. Il n’y a pas de figure qui ait aussi souvent inspir\u00e9 les po\u00e8tes et motiv\u00e9 un plus grand luxe de m\u00e9taphores, d’invocations enthousiastes. Chaque jour elle sort \u00e0 l’Orient du sein de l’Oc\u00e9an\u00a0o\u00f9 elle habite avec\u00a0Tithon\u00a0son \u00e9poux; elle monte dans le ciel, tra\u00een\u00e9e sur un char \u00e9tincelant tant\u00f4t par deux, tant\u00f4t par quatre\u00a0chevaux–<\/span>ail\u00e9s. Ou bien ail\u00e9e elle-m\u00eame, elle s’\u00e9lance r\u00e9pandant sur la terre la ros\u00e9e (ses larmes) avec la lumi\u00e8re. Les \u00e9pith\u00e8tes que lui donnent les po\u00e8tes expriment son \u00e9clat lumineux; la plus connue est l’\u00e9pith\u00e8te hom\u00e9rique : aux doigts de rose,\u00a0rododaktulos<\/i>, soit que le po\u00e8te repr\u00e9sente la lumi\u00e8re comme une gerbe immense de roses, soit plut\u00f4t qu’il assimile \u00e0 des mains couleur de rose, les rayons parall\u00e8les qu’elle disperse dans l’azur.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aurora or Eos, a Greek deity responsible for opening the gates of heaven to the chariot of the Sun, she was the mythological personification of the dawn, morning light bringing day and by extension day itself. There is no figure who has so often inspired poets and motivated a greater luxury of metaphors, of enthusiastic invocations. Every day she goes out to the East from the bosom of the ocean where she dwells with Tithon her husband; she soars into the sky, drawn on a shining chariot now by two, now by four winged horses.
