Toutefois, ses origines sont controvers\u00e9es. Il pourrait s’agir d’une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux papillons qui volent rapidement mais qui ne se posent jamais ou pas longtemps. Une autre explication attribue l’origine de l’expression aux journalistes du Canard Encha\u00een\u00e9, qui, avant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, allaient souvent dans un caf\u00e9 voisin. L\u00e0, il y aurait eut un serveur du nom de Papillon qui, lorsqu’on l’appelait, r\u00e9pondait “minute, j’arrive”. Ils l’auraient alors surnomm\u00e9 “Minute Papillon”. Quelle que soit l’origine exacte, l’expression signifie que l’on demande \u00e0 une personne de prendre du temps pour r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, ou bien que l’on souhaite qu’elle patiente.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

It could be a reference to butterflies that fly fast but never land or don’t land for long. Another explanation attributes the origin of the expression to the journalists of Le Canard Encha\u00een\u00e9, who, before the Second World War, often went to a nearby caf\u00e9. There, there would have been a waiter named Papillon who, when called, replied “minute, I’m coming”. They would then have nicknamed it “Minute Papillon”. Whatever the exact origin, the expression means that one asks a person to take time to reflect, or that one wishes them to be patient.<\/b><\/p>\n
